Shenandoah Mountain Wildflower Tournament

    The Headwaters Master Naturalist Chapter is sponsoring a Wildflower Tournament.   This is a great opportunity to get out and see some beautiful spring wildflowers on Shenandoah Mountain.  All the outings will be easy.  Wear comfortable walking shoes and bring water and your camera!

    When:  Saturday, May 11, 2013

    All registrants will gather at ?? to meet their group leaders.

    Each group will 
    • be accompanied by a by a member of the Headwaters Master Naturalist Chapter
    • find and photograph as many different species of wildflowers as possible
    • post the photographs on the Headwaters Master Naturalists Facebook page
    Each outing will take about 2 hours.  

    We will search for wildflowers rain or shine!

    Prize:  Of course the biggest prize is that participants will get the opportunity to experience first-hand some of the incredible biodiversity that Shenandoah Mountain has to offer.  The group who finds the most wildflowers wins a ???

    Remember:  Wildflowers are to view only.  Leave them there so that they can thrive and be there for the next person to enjoy.
